IZA is a personal journal app that allows users to record reflections, store files,
and conduct voice conversations. Voice processing occurs through Google’s Gemini
Live API only when activated by the user, and personal journal data is stored securely
in isolated cloud databases.

The app features an encrypted Continuity Vault for sensitive credentials, protected
by a user-controlled passphrase that cannot be reset. Users can permanently delete
their accounts and stored data directly within the app settings or contact customer
support for help.

# Questions.

What is IZA?+

IZA is a personal journal. You can write reflections, talk with IZA by voice, and
add documents, photos and files to your journal.

Does IZA listen to me all the time?+

No. IZA only listens when you start a voice conversation with the Talk function.
You can mute the microphone or end the conversation at any time. IZA uses your microphone
and camera only after you allow access.

Who processes my voice conversations?+

During a voice session, audio is processed by Google’s Gemini Live API to generate
responses. Google’s terms govern that service, and your data is not used to train
Google’s general models. Vault items are never sent to Gemini. See the [Privacy Policy](https://izalife.app/privacy/)
for details.

Where is my data kept?+

Your memories are stored in a private database hosted on Google Cloud, and each 
account is isolated from every other account. Vault items are encrypted on your 
device with AES-256-GCM before they are stored.

What is the Continuity Vault?+

The Vault is a protected area for sensitive details such as access codes or private
credentials. It is encrypted on your device using a passphrase you choose. We cannot
read the Vault or recover your passphrase.

What happens if I forget my Vault passphrase?+

We cannot reset or recover it, and the contents of the Vault cannot be opened without
it. Your other memories are not affected. Please store your passphrase somewhere
safe.

How do I delete my account?+

In the app, open ME → Privacy and choose delete account. Deleting your account permanently
removes your data from our cloud systems and from your device. It cannot be undone.
